On August 4, 2021 the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a nationwide recall of defective lounge chairs that were sold at Dollar General stores throughout the country.
This recall involves over 150,000 defective reclining lounge chairs.
The brand name of the defective lounge chairs that are breaking is “True Living Sling Loungers”.
The lounge chairs were distributed and sold at Dollar General stores in 2019 and can be identified as having a white frame with solid blue or green fabric.
The reason for the recall as cited by the CPSC is that the manufacturer, Shanghai Worth Garden Products Co. Ltd, of Shanghai, China, has received three (3) reports of the sling loungers collapsing, resulting in amputations or lacerations (cuts) to fingers from the metal folding joints.
