The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled True Fitness’ Showrunner II treadmill consoles sold with fitness equipment. Announced on July 27, 2023, the recall was issued due to fire hazards.
According to the CPSC, the treadmill console’s wireless charging board has an exposed area that could come into contact with other internal writing, sparking a fire.
True Fitness received one report of a fire. Approximately 600 units were included in the recall.
What models are included in the recall?
The recall includes Showrunner II Consoles with wireless phone chargers. The consoles are 16-inch Integrated Personal Viewing System LCD Consoles used with True Fitness exercise products.
True Fitness products involved in the recall include:
- Treadmills
- Upright bikes
- Recumbent bikes
- Ellipticals
- Stepmills
Model numbers for the affected fitness equipment are:
- True Fitness Treadmill | Model TC900
- True Fitness Stationary Bike | Model UC900
- True Fitness Climber | Model VC900
- True Fitness Elliptical | Model XS1000
Product numbers are visible once the treadmill console is removed from the base. The recall includes the following product numbers:

- C4PES
- C4PVC
- C4PM
- C4PMAE
- C4PMBE
- C4PMES
- C4PMVC
The CPSC advises consumers to immediately turn off and unplug the affected exercise equipment.
