On Aug. 31, 2023, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled Electrolux Group’s gas cooktops due to a potential gas leak and fire hazards.
According to the CPSC, the control knobs on Electrolux Group’s gas cooktops could break or crack during use. This poses a risk of gas leaks, which can lead to a fire.
Electrolux Group received 63 reports of the gas cooktop control knobs breaking.
Approximately 77,000 of these cooktops are included in the recall.
What models of Electrolux Group’s gas cooktops are included in the recall?
The recall includes two models of gas cooktops, the Frigidaire Stainless-Steel 30-inch 4 Burner Gas Cooktops, and the Frigidaire Stainless-Steel 36-inch 5 Burner Gas Cooktops. The two models include the following model and serial number ranges:

The CPSC advises consumers to immediately stop using the recalled gas cooktops.
