The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled Segway Powersports 2022 Fugleman utility-terrain vehicles (UTVs) due to fire hazards. The recall was posted on Dec. 7, 2023.

According to the CPSC, the UTV’s ignition coil can fail to ignite one of the engine cylinders, allowing fuel to enter the exhaust pipe. The excess fuel could ignite in the exhaust pipe, posing a fire hazard.

The CPSC received one fire report from the recalled UTV vehicles. Around 1,100 UTVs are included in the recall, with an additional 480 in Canada.

The recall impacts the model year 2022 Fugleman utility terrain vehicles with model numbers UT10E or UT10X. These vehicles came in white, black, gray, and camo colors. Model numbers are located on the right and left rear side panels of the vehicle.

The CPSC urges consumers to immediately stop using the recalled UTVs.
