Klein Tools Power Station Recall Lawsuit

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled Klein Tools’ Blackfire and Klein Tools power stations due to fire and burn injury hazards. The recall was posted on Dec. 21, 2023.

According to the CPSC, the internal inverter boards can overheat and cause a fire, posing a risk of burn injuries to consumers.

Klein Tools received four incident reports of their power stations overheating. Around 3,800 power stations are included in the recall, with an additional 164 in Canada.

The recall affects Klein Tools and Blackfire portable rechargeable power stations with lithium-ion batteries, which provide up to 1500W of AC power. The power stations have four 120V outlets, six USB ports, and a 12V car port.

The following model numbers and names included in the recall are located at the rear of the power station product.

  • PAC1000 | Blackfire
  • KTB1000 | Klein Tools

The CPSC advises consumers to stop using affected power stations immediately.
