The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled Ride Aventon’s folding e-bicycles due to crash and injury hazards. The recall was posted on Jan. 4, 2024.
According to the CPSC, the recalled folding e-bikes can unexpectedly accelerate, causing the rider to lose control and lead to a crash and injury. Approximately 2,300 e-bikes are included in the recall.
The CPSC received six reports of the folding e-bikes accelerating unexpectedly.
The recall affects Class 2 Sinch.2 electric bicycles, which are folding, 500w e-bikes sold in silver and blue.
The CPSC advises consumers to stop using the recalled folding e-bikes immediately.
