The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a recall for a defective zipline cable on April 11, 2024. This kit contains a cable wire that is 160 feet long and 4 mm thick. It includes a blue trolley and a hanging plastic seat.
The CPSC warns consumers to stop using this zipline system immediately. Over 6,600 zipline kits were sold on Amazon.com from March 2020 through June 2023 for about $140.
There have been 20 reports of the cable breaking. This has resulted in nine injuries, including lacerations and one instance of a broken bone.
