According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the chairs’ bases can break, posing a fall hazard. The May 9, 2024, recall included over 4,500 chairs. The CPSC warns consumers to stop using the recalled chairs immediately. There have been 190 reports of a chair’s base breaking.
The Spin Swivel Chairs are upholstered in ivory, gray, orange, and blue and have gold-colored stainless steel swivel legs. They are approximately 32.5 inches tall, 32 inches deep, and 30.5 inches wide. From July 2021 through June 2023, they were available exclusively online at article.com for about $700.
