Textron Specialized Vehicles Prowler Pro and Tracker UTVs Recall Lawsuit

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the May 9, 2024, recall includes about 10,300 UTVs. The recall involves model years 2022 and 2023 Prowler Pro, Prowler Pro Crew, Tracker 800SX, and Tracker 800SX Crew utility vehicles. The UTVs were sold in various colors, including gray, green, fossil, red, and timber. “Prowler” or “Tracker” is located on the side of the cargo box. The 10th digit of the vehicle identification number (VIN), which is printed on the operator side of the frame under the cargo box, includes an “N” for model year 2022 and a “P” for model year 2023.

The CPSC warns consumers to stop using the UTVs immediately. There have been 48 reports of incidents involving fuel leakage.

From April 2021 through September 2023, the utility vehicles were sold at Arctic Cat and Tracker dealers nationwide, as well as Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s, and independent dealers, for between $14,000 and $22,000.
