According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), padded crib bumpers are banned under federal law. The CPSC’s recall stated that “infants can suffocate if they roll or move on the crib bumper in a position that obstructs breathing.” The CPSC also warns consumers to stop using the recalled crib bumpers immediately.
The May 30, 2024, recall involves about 75 units. The recall includes all crib bumpers, which are sold in the following colors: light pink, white, gray with white clouds, and teddy bear.
