Southern Telecom’s Lomi Roll-On Waxing Kits have been recalled. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC are currently accepting new lawsuits for recalled wax kits. Learn more below.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the roll-on warmer’s power cord can overheat and short circuit, posing fire, burn, and electrical shock hazards. The June 13, 2024, recall involves about 20,000 units.

The Lomi Roll-On Waxing Kit with Wax Cartridge and Wax Strips has the model number LOMB2003PK. The boxed kits contain a handheld wax warmer, a wax cartridge, wax strips, a power cord, and a user’s manual. The Lomi logo is printed on the front of the warmer and the outside of the packaging. The Lomi logo and model number can also be found on the bottom of the wax warmer.

The CPSC warns consumers to stop using the recalled waxing kits. Two reports of overheating/short-circuiting have occurred, including two consumers who suffered burns.

The Lomi Waxing Kits were sold at Ross, DD’s, Bealls, and Burlington stores nationwide from April 2023 through October 2023 for about $13.
