Amana, Daikin, Goodman-Branded Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Packaged Units Recall Lawsuit

Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing’s Amana, Daikin, Goodman-Branded Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Packaged Units have been recalled. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC, are currently accepting new cases for recalled air conditioning and heat pump packaged units. Learn more below.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the unit’s serial plate can have incorrect electrical ratings, which may lead to incorrect wiring and pose a fire hazard. About 12,100 units were recalled on June 13, 2024.

The recall involves packaged air conditioners and heat pumps for Amana, Daikin, and Goodman. The units are gray or green in color and can be identified by the model number located on the electrical connection side of the air conditioner/heat pump.

The heating and cooling equipment were sold at independent dealers nationwide from January 2024 through March 2024 for between $4,500 and $7,500.
