2024 Arctic Cat Mountain 600 Snowmobiles Recall Lawsuit

Textron Specialized Vehicles has recalled its 2024 Arctic Cat Mountain 600 Snowmobiles. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC, are currently accepting new cases for recalled snowmobiles.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the pin on the u-joint of the steering knuckle was not swagged (the process of using a rotary tool to shape metal or plastic pipes and tubes) correctly, which can allow the pin to come out of the u-joint and cause the rider to lose steering control, posing a crash hazard. There have been six reports of the u-joint pins coming loose or falling out. The CPSC warns consumers to stop riding the snowmobiles immediately.

The July 25, 2024 recall involves about 600 snowmobiles. The snowmobiles were sold at Arctic Cat dealers nationwide from September 2023 through June 2024 for between $14,500 and $16,100 in various colors. The Arctic Cat Mountain 600 Snowmobiles have an “M” in the shape of a mountain printed on the side panel. The tenth digit of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is “R.” The VIN is stamped on the tunnel section.
