ProForm 50 LB Adjustable Dumbbells Recall Lawsuit

ProForm Rapid Strike 50 LB Adjustable Dumbbell Sets have been recalled. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC, are currently accepting new cases for recalled fitness equipment including free weights.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the weight plates can dislodge from the handle during use, posing an impact hazard. The July 25, 2024 recall involves about 54,400 weight sets. Eight instances of the weights dislodging have been reported, including three instances that caused injuries. The CPSC warns consumers to stop using the ProForm weights immediately.

The recalled weights (model number PAMSDB20) come in black and have handles, weight plates, and a plastic storage tray. The model number is printed on a sticker on the plastic storage tray. The dumbbells adjust from 5 to 50 pounds. The dumbbell sets were sold at ProForm.com, Amazon.com, DicksSportingGoods.com, Lowes.com, and Walmart.com from February 2021 through May 2024 for about $350.
