Peace Sports Youth All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) Recall Lawsuit

All-terrain vehicles made for children by Peace Sports have been recalled. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC, are currently accepting new cases for recalled Peace Sports Youth All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs).

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the recalled ATVs fail to comply with the requirements of the federal mandatory ATV safety standards. Specifically, the CPSC’s August 1, 2024 recall listed the following as potential serious hazards: (1) the parking brakes fail to hold; (2) the ATVs are missing safety reflectors, and (3) the footguards pose a laceration, contusion, and amputation hazard if the rider’s foot enters the rear wheel environment. The CPSC warns consumers to stop riding the recalled ATVs immediately as they pose a risk of serious injury or death.

The recall includes Peace Industry Group’s “Peace Sports” 125CC Utility and Sport Youth ATVs with model numbers 512 CY125ATV-1 and 518 CY125ATV-6. The “Peace Sports” brand name is located on the handlebar pad and side of the vehicle. The model number can be found on the VIN plate on the ATV’s frame. The ATVs were sold at numerous businesses nationwide from April 2019 through March 2021 for about $1,110.
