Samsung Slide-In Electric Ranges Recall Lawsuit

Samsung’s Electric Ranges have been recalled. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC, are currently accepting new cases for recalled Samsung Electric Ranges.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), front-mounted knobs on the ranges can be activated by accidental contact with humans or pets, posing a fire hazard. The August 8, 2024, includes about 1,121,000 electric ranges. 30 different model numbers are included in the recall, a complete list of which can be found here. The CPSC reports that there have been at least 300 instances of the ranges unintentionally activating since 2013. As a result, there have been 250 fires, which have resulted in at least 40 injuries caused by the accidental ignition of the stoves.

The Samsung Slide-In Electric Ranges were sold at Best Buy, Costco, The Home Depot, Lowe’s, and other appliance stores nationwide. The stoves were also sold online at Samsung.com from May 2013 through August 2024 for between $1,250 and $3,050.
