DeWALT Mowers Recall Lawsuit

Stanley Black & Decker DeWALT lawnmowers have been recalled. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC, are currently accepting new cases for recalled DeWALT mowers.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), if water gets into the mower’s handle support, the mower can fail to shut off when the bail handle is released, posing a laceration hazard. Over 50,000 mowers are included in the August 15, 2024 recall. There have been at least ten reports of the mowers not shutting off, including at least one incident causing injuries. The CPSC warns consumers to stop using the recalled lawnmowers immediately.

The 2024 model year DeWALT Battery 21” Push walk-behind mowers, model numbers DCMWP234U2 and DCMWP600X2, and DeWALT Battery 21” Self-Propelled walk-behind mowers, model numbers DCMWSP256U2 and DCMWSP650Y2, are included in the recall. The mowers are black and yellow and have DeWALT printed on the mower. The model number is printed on the rear door of the mower. The mowers were sold at The Home Depot, Tractor Supply, Ace Hardware, and various stores online from January 2024 through July 2024 for between $530 and $750.
