Gerber Products Company has recalled all batches of Gerber Soothe N Chew Teething Sticks due to a potential choking hazard for babies and young children. Gerber announced it is working with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) after receiving consumer complaints of choking incidents. At least one incident involved a child being taken to the emergency room.

Where were the Gerber Soothe N Chews Sold?
The products were distributed in 46 states plus Puerto Rico; Alaska, Louisiana, North Dakota, and Wyoming were the only states excluded. The Soothe N Chews were also distributed nationwide online.
Have there been other Gerber products recalled?
It is rare for Gerber to recall products, but it has happened before. In 2023, Gerber recalled its Good Start Soothe Pro Powdered Infant Formula as it allegedly contained bacteria that was potentially fatal to babies.
