The law firm of Johnson//Becker, PLLC, has filed a lawsuit in Ohio Federal Court on behalf of client Jazmin Parks. Ms. Parks alleges that she was seriously injured on December 25, 2022, when the lid of a Crock-Pot Express Crock Multicooker failed to function correctly.
Ottoman Bed Malfunction Results in the Death of a 39-year-old Mother
A 39-year-old British woman was killed in June of 2024 when her ottoman bed fell on her neck and asphyxiated her. The bed had a base that could be raised using a gas-lift hydraulic system. The user is then able to store items under the bed. Apparently, the mattress platform fell unexpectedly, “trapping her neck against the upper surface of the side panel of the bed’s base.” One of the two gas-lift pistons was defective, causing the bed to slam shut. Helen Davey was found by her daughter.
Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Gladiator Engine Fire Lawsuit
The Product Liability team at Johnson//Becker is investigating reports of 2021 to 2023* model-year Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator vehicles posing fire safety risks to consumers. The Jeeps have not yet been recalled, but over 781,000 cars could be affected.
Johnson//Becker Files Lawsuit in Federal Court Against SharkNinja Due to Ninja Professional Plus Blender Injuries
A lawsuit was filed on October 30, 2024, in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey on behalf of Johnson//Becker, PLLC’s client, Mikayla Lapinksi. Ms. Lipinski alleges she suffered “serious and substantial laceration injuries as the direct and proximate result of the Ninja blender’s blade assembly being improperly and safely packaged.”
Johnson//Becker Files Lawsuit Against NuWave, LLC. Over Injuries Suffered by Pressure Cooker
The law firm of Johnson//Becker, PLLC, has filed a lawsuit in Illinois Federal Court on behalf of client Angela Eberle. Ms. Eberle alleges that she was seriously injured on December 5, 2022, when the lid of a NuWave 6Q Nutri-Pot Digital Pressure Cooker failed to function properly, allowing the lid to be rotated while under pressure, sending its scalding contents onto Plaintiff.
Milo’s Poultry Farms and Tony’s Fresh Market Egg Recall Lawsuit
The U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) upgraded a September 6, 2024, recall, making it a Class I recall. A Class-I designation is the most serious level in that the product “will cause serious adverse health consequences or death.”
