Bella Pro Series Steam and Cooks Steam Espresso Makers Recall Lawsuit

Sensio has recalled its Bella Pro Series Steam and Cooks Steam Espresso Makers. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC, are currently accepting new cases for recalled Sensio espresso makers.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the brew cup handle on the Bella Pro Series Steam and Cooks Steam Espresso Makers can forcefully eject during use, shattering the glass carafe and posing a burn and laceration hazard. The CPSC has received at least 18 reports of the handles ejecting, eight of which involved burn and/or laceration injuries. The CPSC warns consumers to stop using the espresso makers immediately.

Is My Bella Espresso Maker or Cooks Steam Espresso Maker Included in the Recall?

The March 20, 2025, recall includes about 12,300 Bella Pro Series Steam Espresso Makers (model 90195) and Cooks Steam Espresso Makers (model 22395). The recalled espresso machines are black with stainless steel trim and measure approximately six inches in width and 12 inches in height. The Sensio machines have “Bella Pro Series” or “Cooks” on the steam chamber. The model numbers are located on stickers underneath the machines.

The recalled espresso makers were sold at JCPenney stores nationwide and online at BestBuy.com and JCPenney.com from August 2023 through January 2025 for between $40 and $60.

IKEA Espresso Maker Recall Lawsuit – An August 25, 2022, recall involved about 7,000 IKEA METALLISK Espresso Makers. Similar to the Bella and Cooks machines, the IKEA METALLISK Espresso Makers posed a burn and/or laceration hazard due to the product bursting.
