Box Components BMX Race Bicycle Stem Recall Lawsuit

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled BMX Race Box One bicycle stems due to risks of crash and injuries. The recall notice was posted on Feb. 1, 2024.

According to the CPSC, the bike stem can crack and break, loosening the handlebars and causing the biker to lose control. The CPSC has received one incident report of a stem cracking.

Approximately 160 bike stems are included in the recall.

The recalled bike stems have dual-tone gray stripes and were sold separately from bicycles. The stems came in black, red, blue, gold, purple, or silver.

The CPSC advises consumers to stop using the recalled bike stems immediately.
