According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the heater’s fan can malfunction and fail to turn on, causing the unit to overheat and ignite internally, posing a fire hazard. The September 12, 2024, recall involves about 13,000 heaters. The affected heaters are either 1200 or 1600 Watts. The heaters are described as “high wall,” which means they are installed a minimum of six feet off the ground.
