Dania Furniture Hayden Bookcase Recall Lawsuit

Dania Furniture’s Hayden Bookcase has been recalled. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC, are currently accepting new cases for recalled bookcases.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the recalled bookcase is unstable if it is not anchored to the wall, posing tip-over and entrapment hazards that can result in death or serious injuries to children. The June 27, 2024 recall includes about 940 bookcases. One reported incident involved the tragic death of a 4-year-old child. The CPSC warns consumers to stop using the bookshelf immediately if it is not secured to a wall.

The Hayden Bookcase contains six storage cubbies and is made of brown wood with three sliding white doors. It measures about 36 inches in width, 16 inches in depth, and 73 inches in height. The product name and SKU (LB2225/A) are located on the back of the unit. The bookcases were sold at Dania Furniture stores and online at daniafurniture.com from November 2017 through February 2024 for about $370.
