Delta Cycle Ceiling Hoists with Straps Recall Lawsuit

Ceiling Hoists with Straps by Delta Cycle have been recalled. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC, are currently accepting new cases for recalled hanging storage pulley devices.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the plastic buckles on the straps used to hold a kayak, canoe, or other large objects with the ceiling hoist can break, posing an injury hazard to consumers. The September 5, 2024 recall includes about 25,140 units.

The recall involves Ceiling Hoists with Straps (model number RS2300). The model number can be found only on the product’s packaging. The device can be used to lift bicycles, kayaks, ladders, boxes, and other large objects. The pulley systems were sold at REI and various other independent stores, and online at Amazon.com and designbydelta.com from February 2017 through July 2024 for about $40. There has been at least one report of an injury accident.
