On July 13, 2023, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled Electrolux Group’s Frigidaire gas laundry centers, due to fire hazards.

Why were the gas laundry units recalled?

According to the CPSC, lint can build up due to the felt seal in the dryer folding inward. Lint buildup can create a fire hazard.

Electrolux Group and Frigidaire have received 23 fire reports related to this hazard.

Around 13,600 units were recalled.

The CPSC advises consumers to immediately stop using the recalled gas laundry products.
