Havertys Recliner Chair Recall Lawsuit

Havertys recliners have been recalled due to the risk of falling. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC are currently accepting new recliner chair lawsuits. Learn more below.

On June 22, 2023, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled Havertys’ Concord Dual Power recliner chairs due to fall hazards.

Why were Havertys’ recliner chairs recalled?

According to the CPSC, when the chair is in the reclined position and weight is applied to the chair back, the metal power mechanism assembly could bend and cause the chair back to detach. Consumers using the recalled recliners could fall and become injured.

Havertys and the CPSC received nine reports of the chair backs detaching. Two consumers reported injuries to the back, neck, and hip.

Around 930 units were recalled.

What models are included in the Havertys recliner recall?

The recall includes Havertys Concord Dual Power recliner chairs with model number SKU 0-3500-1827. Model numbers can be found on the printed label underneath the seat cushion.

The CPSC advises consumers to stop using the recalled recliner chairs immediately.
