Jetson 42-Volt Rogue Scooters & Hoverboards Recall Lawsuit

On Mar. 30, 2023, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled Jetson Electric Bike’s scooters and hoverboards due to severe fire hazards.

Why were Jetson’s scooters and hoverboards recalled?

According to the CPSC, Jetson Electric Bikes recalled 42-volt Rogue scooters and hoverboards due to the risks of the lithium-ion battery packs in the products overheating and causing fires.

A 10-year-old and a 15-year-old died from a fire on April 1, 2022, originating from a 42-volt Jetson Rogue hoverboard. The girls’ parents suffered smoke inhalation injuries.

There have been multiple reports of the recalled scooters and hoverboards burning, sparking, melting and/or catching fire.

Which scooter and hoverboard models were included in the recall?

The recall includes all 42-volt Jetson Rogue self-balancing scooter and hoverboard models manufactured from 2018 through 2019.

Affected units do not have a barcode on the bottom of the product, or a charge port with only one pin.

The CPSC advises consumers to immediately stop using and charging the recalled scooters and hoverboards.
