On June 1, 2023, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled Jetson Electric’s children scooters due to fall hazards.
Why were Jetson’s scooters recalled?
According to the CPSC, the scooter’s rear wheel can loosen and fall off during use. While riding, children could fall and become injured.
Twelve incidents of scooter wheels loosening have been reported, including one child’s injury resulting in scratches and bruises.
Around 15,300 of Jetson Electric’s scooters were included in the recall.
What models are included in the scooter recall?
The CPSC’s scooter recall includes Jetson Nova and Star 3-Wheel Kick scooters, which were sold in five colors; teal, green, blue, purple and red.
A label at the base of the scooter shows its’ model and serial number. The following model and serial numbers are included in the recall:
