According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), improper combustion can occur when starting the engine, posing a fire hazard. There have been three reports of fires involving the recalled vehicles. The CPSC warns consumers to stop using the Mule PRO 1000 OHVs immediately.
The July 25, 2024 recall involves about 19,100 of the 2024 Mule PRO-FX 1000, PRO-FXR 1000, and PRO-FXT 1000 utility vehicles. The Mule PRO vehicles were sold in Metallic Sierra Blue, Metallic Onyx Black, Firecracker Red, Ice Gray, TRUETIMBER Strata, Metallic Titanium, and Metallic Stardust White. The OHVs were sold at Kawasaki dealers nationwide from June 2023 through April 2024 for between $15,100 and $21,900.
