LED Light-up Jelly Ring Toys Recall Lawsuit

Children’s light-up toys manufactured by Attom Tech have been recalled. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC, are currently accepting new cases for recalled LED Light-up Jelly Ring Toys.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the recalled light-up toys violate the mandatory federal battery-operated toy regulation because the rings contain button cell batteries that fit within the CPSC’s small parts cylinder (approximately the size of a fully expanded throat of a child under three years old.) The CPSC has determined that the batteries can be easily accessed without the use of a common household tool, which creates a choking hazard. If a button cell battery is swallowed, the batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns, and even death. The CPSC warns consumers to immediately take the toys away from children.

The August 1, 2024 recall includes about 4,100 toys deemed an ingestion hazard by the CPSC. The rings are sold in a pack of 30. The “NiToy” logo can be found on the product’s label. The rings come in various shapes, sizes, and colors. The Attom Tech LED Light-up Jelly Ring Toys were sold exclusively online at Amazon.com from August 2021 through June 2024 for about $16.
