Lenox Teapot Recall Lawsuit

On April 8, 2020, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a recall notice on the Lenox 2.5 quart tea kettle/pot. The teapot was recalled after the manufacturer received 14 reports of the teapots expelling hot water onto consumers. The spewing of hot water also caused a number of serious burn injuries.

How do I know if my teapot was recalled?

  • The teapot involved in this recall has the brand name Lenox is written on the sides and the bottom of the kettle.
  • It was sold in a variety of colors including gold, silver, blue, and red.
  • The teapot was sold at Burlington, HomeGoods, Home Sense, Marshalls, T.J. Maxx, Tuesday Morning, and Winners stores nationwide from September 2013 through November 2017 for between $30 and $50.
