Papablic Infant Swings Recall Lawsuit

Papablic Archie Infant Swings have been recalled. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC, are currently accepting new cases for recalled infant swings.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the swings pose a suffocation risk because even though they were designed for infant sleep, they have an incline angle greater than 10 degrees. The CPSC found the Papablic Infant Swings to be in violation of the federal safety regulations for Infant Sleep Products and the Safe Sleep for Babies Act. The CPSC also stated that the swings violate Reese’s Law, which mandates federal safety requirements for button cell and coin batteries. The law is intended to reduce the risk of injury and death from ingestion or choking on a button cell or coin batteries by children six years of age and younger. The CPSC’s August 1, 2024 recall warns consumers to stop using the baby swings immediately.

The recall involves Papblic Archie Infant Swings with model number PAPABLIC61A and batch numbers PF2106C01 and PF2301C01. The label on the back of the swing includes the model and batch information. The swings measure about 25 inches in length, 25 inches in width, and 25 inches in height. The swings are gray with three hanging plush toys, including a star, a moon, and a koala bear. The swings were sold on Amazon.com and Papablic.com from July 2023 through April 2024 for about $150.
