On April 7, 2021, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of over one million defective pressure washers.
It was reported that the manufacturer of Greenworks and Powerworks pressure washers, Hongkong Sun Rise, has received 15 reports of the pressure washer spray gun connector breaking.
If the connector to the pressure washer breaks, it could allow the hose and other parts of the connector to become dislodged when under pressure. This could result in a serious accident.
The defective pressure washers have already resulted in at least 13 reports of injuries, including 7 of which required medical treatment for post-concussion, broken bones, and/or injuries to the eyes and mouth.
The pressure washers recalled in this action by the CPSC were sold at Lowe’s, amazon.com, and other online retailers throughout the United States.
