According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the downtube on the Razor scooters can separate from the floorboard during use, posing a fall hazard. According to the CPSC, there have been at least 34 reports of the downtube separating from the floorboard, resulting in multiple injuries. The CPSC warns consumers to stop using the recalled Razor scooters immediately.
The July 25, 2024 recall involves about 7,300 scooters with the following model and serial numbers. The model number is printed in the lower right corner of the label located at the bottom of the deck. The serial number is printed below the bar code on the same label with “31” on the back of the charger. The Razor scooters were sold in blue, black, orange, red, and pink. “Razor” is printed in large lettering on the handlebars as well as the floorboard.

The Razor Icon scooters were sold at Target, Walmart, Best Buy, and other stores nationwide. The E-scooters were also sold online at Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Razor.com, and other websites from September 2022 through March 2024 for about $600.
