Ricky Powersports recalled their youth ATVs due to noncompliance with federal safety standards. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) posted the recall notice on May 4, 2023.
Why did Ricky Powersports recall the youth ATVs?
According to the CPSC, the youth ATVs do not meet federal safety standards for ATVs intended for children 10 years of age and older. The ATVs have improper labeling and missing safety reflectors.
Another safety standard the ATV does not meet is the parking brake requirement. If parked on a hill, the vehicle’s brake could fail and lead to a collision.
ATVs that fail to meet mandatory safety standards pose a serious risk of injury or death.
Approximately 570 units were included in the recall.
Which models of the youth ATVs were recalled?

- Burgundy
