Stanley Black & Decker Sledgehammers Recall Lawsuit

On April 20, 2023, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled 2.2 million DeWalt, Stanley, and Craftsman Fiberglass Sledgehammers.

According to the CPSC, Stanley Black & Decker received 192 reports of the sledgehammer’s head loosening from the handle and two injuries on the consumer’s head and face.

What models are included in the recall?

The recall affects certain DeWalt, Stanley FATMAX, and Craftsman Fiberglass Sledgehammers. Each sledgehammer has the brand written on the handle.

The Stanley and the DeWalt sledgehammers both come in yellow and black, and the Craftsman sledgehammers come in red and black.
