The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled Tractor Supply Company’s Red Shed hammock swing chairs due to fall and injury risks. The recall was announced on Nov. 16, 2023.
According to the CPSC, the plastic buckle supporting the back of the chair can break when a person sits in the chair. This poses a fall and injury hazard.
Tractor Supply Company received 13 incident reports of plastic buckles breaking, and three reports of consumers falling to the ground.
Approximately 7,500 hammock swing chairs have been recalled.
The recall includes all Red Shed hammock swing chairs. The chairs have a blue and silver mesh fabric seat with black nylon straps.
The CPSC advises consumers to stop using the hammock swing chairs immediately.
