Vibe Bear Playyard Crib Mattress Recall Lawsuit

Vibe Bear Playyard crib mattresses have been recalled due to a violation of federal safety standards. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC are currently accepting new crib mattress lawsuits. Learn more below.

On Nov. 30, 2023, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled Vibe Bear’s crib mattresses due to a violation of federal safety standards.

According to the CPSC, the mattresses violate a Federal Safety Standard for Crib Mattresses. The mattresses do not meet the thickness tests, are missing warnings and labels, and pose a choking hazard to infants.

Approximately 820 crib mattresses are included in the recall.

The recall includes Beyond Baby Vibe Bear-branded portable playyard mattresses manufactured on or after Aug. 15, 2022, and the model number YXB17. Manufacturing dates are located on a tag at the edge of the mattress in the format “YYYY.MM.” This represents the year and the month.

The CPSC advises consumers to stop using the recalled mattresses immediately and destroy the mattresses by cutting them in half.

Johnson//Becker lawyers take dangerous baby product cases seriously. The firm has represented several consumers who have tragically lost children to baby products that do not meet the Safe Sleep for Babies Act.
