Woom OFF 5, OFF AIR 5, OFF 6, OFF AIR 6, and ORIGINAL 6 Bicycles Recall Lawsuit

Bicycles by Woom Bike USA LLC have been recalled. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC, are currently accepting new cases for recalled children’s bikes.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the crank, which transfers the power from the rider’s legs to the chain, can break, causing the rider to lose control, which can pose fall and crash hazards. There have been at least five reports of the crank breaking, including at least one injury accident involving a child.

The recall involves the ORIGINAL 6 bicycles from model years 2016 to 2020 and OFF 5 & OFF AIR 5 and OFF 6 & OFF AIR 6 bicycles from model years 2019 to 2020. The recalled bikes are designed for children between 10 and 14 years old. The name “woom” is displayed on the sides of the downtube in white letters. The ORIGINAL 6 bikes were sold in red, green, blue, purple, and yellow. The OFF mountain bikes were available in black frames with silver forks.

The recalled bicycles were sold exclusively at Woom.com from September 2016 through October 2020 for between $500 and $900.
