According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the May 9, 2024, recall involves about 5,000 single-door and double-door ovens. The following model numbers are part of the recall: AWS-30, AWD-30, AWS-30-BS, AWD-30-BS, AWSS-30, and AWDS-30. The serial number and the manufacturing date in YYYYMMDD format can be found on a white label inside the oven door. The serial numbers range between 207986920110001 and WOAR2112048400.
The ovens are available in stainless steel and black stainless, and both have a digital control at the top of the unit. The double-wall oven is 30 inches wide by 24.5 inches deep by 51 inches high, and the single-wall oven is 29 inches high. The ZLINE logo is printed on the bottom face of the door.
The CPSC warns consumers to stop using the ovens immediately. There have been 95 reports of the door springs breaking or releasing, including one that resulted in an injury.
The ovens were sold nationwide at Best Buy, Lowe’s, The Home Depot, and The Range Hood Store. The built-in wall ovens were also sold online at bestbuy.com, build.com, Costco.com, homedepot.com, therangehoodstore.com, overstock.com, and wayfair.com from December 2020 through September 2022 for between $1,900 and $3,950.
